THE STORY BEHIND THE FLAGS:
Genesis 49: 22-26 NIV
“Joseph is a fruitful vine,
a fruitful vine near a spring,
whose branches climb over a wall.
With bitterness archers attacked him;
they shot at him with hostility.
But his bow remained steady,
his strong arms stayed limber,
because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,
because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
because of your father’s God, who helps you,
because of the Almighty, who blesses you
with blessings of the skies above,
blessings of the deep springs below,
blessings of the breast and womb.
Your father’s blessings are greater
than the blessings of the ancient mountains,
than the bounty of the age-old hills.
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
About 3-6 months ago before the turn of 2026 the Father began commissioning me to create multicolored flags that represented Joseph’s special coat. The one that is called “The Coat of Many Colors.” He was very specific about the structure of the flags, telling me that He wanted them to be large in stature, triple layered, and created as swing flags. His instructions to make them swing flags surprised me because my specialty leans more towards flexie and spin-tube flags. I also knew that it would take some stretching on my part to work with swing flags since I had only made one set previously and swore I’d never do it again. I asked The Lord multiple times if He would reconsider letting me make them into flexie rod flags instead. He refused to concede. I am thrilled to announce that when I finished making these flags and tested them out they turned out to be one of my most treasured sets of flags.
I took my time considering and praying about what colors I should use on these flags. I also sought the Lord regarding their meaning. Not only is Joseph a giant of our patriarchs, he’s also my personal favorite aside from Yeshua. So I was curious as to what God’s plans were for these flags. During that time the Lord surprised me again by telling me to create another Worship Weapon I am to call Joseph’s Staff. It was then that I began to realized that God was releasing a Joseph anointing for 2026. Just to be sure I waited on Him for confirmation that I was correct. Then I found out that a friend of mine will be taking on the name Joseph and it was all of the confirmation I needed to know for sure that 2026 has a special Joseph anointing.
When I finally got around to choosing colors, I knew in my spirit that I needed a combination of bright and dark colors. When I began lining them up to figure out which way I wanted them to be organized on the flags, I heard the Lord say, “Make the darkest color start from the bottom of the flags and each one thereafter become lighter and lighter as the colors rise up, making the bright yellow the color at the very top. This will represent how my servant Joseph rose up out of a dark pit into the light of My Glory.”
Since colors bear meaning in scripture I will list below what each one’s prophetic significance in connection to Joseph are:
Dark Brown - Humility & grounding: This color represents the pit and the prison that Potiphar threw Joseph into. Clearly the Lord had some testing set apart for him during these painful seasons.
Deep Purple - Royalty, wealth, power, & high status: No doubt this color represents Joseph’s sudden and miraculous rise to a higher power even than Pharaoh himself as he became like a father to Pharaoh (Gen. 45:8).
Sapphire Blue - God’s presence, divine truth, revelation, & restoration: As all of Pharaoh’s court recognized, Joseph had divine revelation from God regarding instructions on Pharaoh’s dreams and how to protect Egypt from the calamity that threatened them, which resulted in God’s divine restoration and elevation to the highest position in Egypt.
Emerald Green - Divine Provision: through God’s profound elevation of Joseph from the lowest place in society to the highest, He divinely provided for His people so that they could live and not die.
Dark Pink - True Love: this color is an interesting one because the color I used was actually supposed to turn out as a bright red color. When this color emerged instead I felt that it turned out exactly what the Lord wanted it to be. The pink represents true love which exists through mutual trust and intimacy. The Lord only reveals His plans and interpretations of dreams to those whom He is intimate with. Through this color we are reminded that intimacy cannot be a performance. It is instead built on trust and sacrifice. Joseph paid many sacrifices, and since his faith to the Lord stood the test of time and a great deal of pain, his reward was wealth and influence.
Blazing Orange - Joy, harvest, & Victory: Joseph not only got to partake in one of the greatest harvests that Egypt has ever experienced, he also gave birth to 2 sons, and then was able to provide for his entire family. Talk about a VICTORY!
Fluorescent Fuchsia - Healing & restoration: Like the Rose of Sharon, Joseph had the ability to flourish in fertile, yet sometimes harsh, environments everywhere he went. Whether he was favored by his father, thrown in a pit, lived as a slave, slandered, live in prison, or walked nearly as a Pharaoh, he mirrored themes of divine grace overcoming hardship, bringing beauty, peace, and new life, whether through spiritual awakening or physical care.
Radioactive Green - Life, growth, hope, prosperity, & provision: One thing that I am always in awe about when I read of our father Joseph is his amazing ability to bring life and thrive in every situation he was in regardless of how low in society he went. Some think that he was only blessed with prosperity when Pharaoh elevated him, but the truth is that he prospered no matter where he was.
Brilliant Yellow - God’s divine glory & anointing: Joseph’s rise to power is the pinnacle of God’s anointing at work in him.
If you feel that you have a Joseph anointing, now is the time to take up His mantle.
