THE STORY BEHIND THE FLAGS:
A couple of years ago the Father instructed me to make a ribbon skirt with Wings on them. As I asked Him how He wanted me to situate the wings, He told me to have 2 pointing up, one pointing to the right and another pointing to the left, and 2 more pointing down. When I arranged the wings as He instructed I gasped, realizing that the seraphim had 6 wings. Not only did they have six wings, but 2 covered their faces, 2 were used to fly, and 2 covered their feet. I knew instantly that I had to get a similar design like this on to worship flags.
When I finally was able to create these flags, I leaned heavily on the Father’s instructions again. Initially I thought that I was going to make the wings white on the flags, but the Father said, “No. Make them blue.” I knew that blue represents God’s protection, healing, and authority. I also knew that the seraphim were surrounded by fire, and since blue is the hottest part of any flame, it seemed appropriate that blue should be the wings. Nevertheless, I really wanted a second color in there, so I asked the Father if I could make the tips of the wings purple. He conceded to my request.
When I began drawing out the templates for these wings, I couldn’t help but design them to look like the tribal patterns. I’m not sure why my brain is wired that way, but I love it anyway. I feel like it’s unique, and really speaks to the tribal people, which are the very ones The Father has called me to anyway.
As I created these flags the Father asked me, “Are you my ride or die? If I asked you to drop what you are doing to partner with Me in something that would require your life and reputation to be on the line, could I count on you? Do you consider Me holy enough that you would sacrifice anything for me?”
If I am going to be honest, my answer right now would probably be, “I don’t know.” It’s a sad reality. Fear is such a difficult thing for me to overcome. I will say this, however, “I have already lost many friends and some family members for choosing to do things God’s way rather than theirs. I may not be fully ready to sacrifice my life for The Father, but I am already well on my way to it. How would you honestly answer His question? Are you His ride or die?”
